She was helping me because she is the one that broke it, since she wasn't tall enough to reach it, she would jump up and give it a karate type chop till it went on or off. Those plastic things can take just so many hits.

How did she help? Well, since I don't wire things "hot" anymore, she would look at the lights and yell when they went off, as I flipped breakers in the garage.

Anyone wanna guess how long it takes to change out a switch, with a 3 year old helping and asking hundreds of questions?
From sunrise till 430pm EST?

Real close -

When my sons were younger, on evenings and weekends, I would be heavily involved in projects (before I got lazy) and I would keep both of them with me most of the time. This was to give their mother (the first mrs humfrz, who never worked outside the home), a break.

At that time, I figured it took about twice as long to do projects, with their "help" -

Well at least you were doing three jobs at once by fixing things, babysitting, and maybe teaching them something.

43) Finally had final frost, so got my tomatoes from the house into the ground. I ended up putting in 8; 3 Cherokee Purple (my favorite), 1 Big Beef, 2 Early Girls, and 2 Beefsteak. That should give me plenty of tomatoes, especially since I'm the only one in the family that eats them. Next is a row of corn, and various squash.

Do you make a nice tomato sauce and mashed potato and veg to go with it, or just have them on their own?
