Whats wrong with people express their feeling after they got cheated or ripped off in the forum and bunch of people laughing at them or comment they r like a 2 yrs old? we all know toyota decision is wrong, why still got bunch if people agree with it? isn't it wrong advertised is against the law? for those who are happy with the Toyota decision, don't even come in n click on this topic to view it, not to mention rubbing some salt on the wound....
heaps of people talk to their dealer but as the decision is from TMCA, not the dealer, nothing they can do.Heaps of email been send to TMCA but now news at all at the moment. Give it a break....... |

Regardless if this is a positive or negative for each buyer, Toyota should not be removing features from the product after you have purchased. Under Australian consumer law you would be untitled to reimbursement for the value of items removed, regardless what your contract states.

If I was a dealer, I'd be going with the 'softly, softly' approach, and wouldn't mention it to a buyer unless they specifically asked/noticed when picking the car up. |

1. YES, spec changes happen ALL the time, however it should NOT happen to those who have already paid for their deposits on their sales contracts. Future and potential buyers can then do their own research and read up on the disclaimer BEFORE signing off and paying deposits on the sales contracts.
2. Whether we need spare wheels or not is besides the point. You seem to have missed the point that we have PAID deposit for a sales contract to have a CERTAIN vehicle spec delivered to us - not a vehicle specced to whatever the manufacturer deems it to be after the fact - just because we probably "won't" need it. |
