It just doesn't make sense that they would have built a crap intake to cause that. Someone mentioned emissions and tuning specifically at that rpm range to satisfy euro? requirements resulting in a power loss. That makes more sense and an ECU tweak would soon fix it up.
I was the one that mentioned that it may have been to manipulate emissions testing...being I've done it for OEM's in the past.

Turbo or NA, they all do it. The difference is that some turbo models come with a built in surge tank to help fight the issue. The tanks are the same. Also, the fuel demand is higher on the turbo engines too...

Here's a tip...you can rotate your phone and the video will utilize like 70% more real estate on every screen.

I think the auto can take the abuse since it isn't a lot of torque gained with this turbo. A lexus IS250 auto still makes more torque(184tq) with the same tranny.
