I'll share a little trick with you kids: If you don't own an ARC welder, you can make-do with some heavy duty jumper cables and a good car battery.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

It's the black to black mistake that really gets everyone. Modern batteries are pretty good at not exploding, but to be safe you should always pick a ground point away from the battery and fuel lines. There's almost always a nice bolt attached to the chassis nearby that's a better choice than the negative terminal.

I don't recall ever jump starting the MG. I remember taking the batteries out to stick on a charger... But never jump started.. must have done it..

I usually take the batteries out to give them a proper charge.. I think I may have to do that with the BRZeeee... I haven't driven for nearly 4 weeks..

I swapped little 32/36 Webber carburetors into three of my four 1st-gen Celica coupes. They "felt" so much lighter after that, and with the amount of associated junk that came out, they may well have been!
