i found a 10 pack for 10 bucks, they are called "t10" bulbs. on my bulb it says e6 12v 5w w5w, but i think the t10 is exactly the same. not much comes up when i search e6,so im not sure why it says that on my bulb, if it even means anything

Received the quarterly update on my 401k this weekend. Immediately put it in the document shredder as I'm fairly certain I should save the money I would otherwise spend on booze if I read it.

Usually searching [Year Model Location] "Bulb" works pretty well. You can always pay an extra few cents at the local auto parts store and just have them look it up for you to confirm fitment.

I've had no issues in the FRS, although the hi-beams are an issue as they are used for DRLs at half power but the LEDs are full power. Really isn't an issue during the day, and I always turn the lights on before it becomes a problem. I could just turn the DRLs off if it were.

Like @Tcoat says as long as you buy good quality ones intended as replacements, I haven't seen an issue. Lighting experts might disagree of course.

every time i've set a transformer, i leave it at the factory tap points, power everything up, measure each leg, and then power-down and re-tap to get as close to the specified voltage as possible.

do you have a bluetooth meter that you can clip on and safely monitor/record the voltage sag while the machine is running? i'm wondering if there could also be a voltage sag issue if the transformer was improperly sized for the loads you're running, and it's causing a brownout scenario within the machine.

i remember you saying before that the elements were custom built buy a guy-- is there a spec sheet for how quickly they're supposed to come up to temp, or hold a specific temp? measuring that rate could also show if there's an electrical supply issue if it rises to temp faster than it should.

I did not know what a tap was, thank you. I did check the output at my panel, and had an electrician check it. I am getting around 483 a leg. One of them was a little bit higher. I haven't tried monitoring it, I will do that next.

I really think we just need to turn the oven down a little. The elements are cast refractory cement and the resistor wire(N7 NiChrome) is encased in it. N7 is good to 2200-2300F. I wouldn't doubt we are pushing close to that to get the ambient temp of the oven to 1800F.

This wouldn't be an issue for me. I've never met a wine I thought wouldn't have been better mixed with oil and poured over a salad.

Now, if it were a bourbon or tequila tasting, I'd probably still be sleeping it off.

Stop assuming people fall into a single comfortable place in a presumed binary existence! Just because Ichi is comfortable being both a 5 AND a 6 isn't a reason to discount one of them.
