If 86 second generation gets a power upgrade, it will overlap with 4-cylinder Supra in a very small market segment. I think, second generation 86 will either be cancelled or will have the same power. I am more inclined to think that 86 story is close to an end.

But that doesn't stop Subaru from upgrading BRZ and going alone.

Or it will go the lines of the Celica, progressively getting fatter and duller till it's a FWD auto, or worse, a hatch back.

Personally, I say close the door on the twins, the 4 cylinder Zupra will fill that hole for Toyota.

Plus with the current climate, with electric and hybrid vehicles, it wouldn't make much sense, unless the next gen twin is hybrid to keep the environmental aspect of Toyota and Subaru happy.

Meh, what do I know, I'm just another over opinionated arsehole.

You're welcome Forum

Again should still be more HP (around 280) and the Subaru version will be the only one to offer a turbo version. Toyota version will not (for now)

i'm missing something. what facts have been given to prove you're right? it's still just random car blogging speculation with no official response from either toyota or subaru..

All recent articles confirm the 2.4 turbos and nicer interior. That's all I see.
Just hope it handles as nicely as my 13' FRS. More grunt would be nice but since the underpinnings will now be totally different I wonder about the handling characteristics. But, I think they prolly did their homework. I don't want to give up the ability to drive around tight curves on exit ramps at 70 when no one is around. Third gear it's alright fourth gear, hang on tight!

No one has confirmed the FA24, they all speculate and assume that will be the power plant. Toyota nor Subaru have said anything about this.

Another excellent example of not REALLY reading what the publications are writing.

It is <shaking the magic 8 ball> DOUBTFUL you will get any apologies from the internet. Thou must have steel testicles prior to posting anything on thy internet forum webs and face thy comments section from evil-doers and trolls. It was truly a struggle for my simple brain to type anything of seriousness when y'all start using CAPITAL LETTERS TO EMPHASIZE SERIOUZNEZZ

So no, barely anything you’ve discussed has ever been a part of the rumor mill..interesting.

???
Some of my favorite cars are hatchbacks:
240Z, RX-7, S13 240SX (most of 'em), etc. etc.

If you mean a 5-door, I'm all for a whole family of small, lightweight rwd cars, in any of these configurations: 2-door coupe, 3-door fastback hatch, 3-door "shooting brake" hatch, 4-door sedan, 5-door fastback hatch, 5-door wagon, etc. Bring em!

I would say 'yes' as I always thought 'fastback' was another term for 'coupe'.
