Question before I do coilovers
So, I just took some ride height measurements sitting on stock suspension "center of wheels to top dead center of fender lip"...and this is what I got..
Drivers side front 15in Drvers side rear 14 3/4in Passengers side front 14 3/4in Passengers side rear 15in Is this normal to have different heights? I measured it five or six times lol and it was the same every time. When I start adjusting the coilovers should, I lower them to match at all four corners or what? Not looking to slam it low just want maybe 3/4in to 1in lower. |

Those are pretty big variances. Are you sure the ground you were on was level?

I thought so too...I will measure again in a parking lot but my driveway seems fairly level.

Page 11 has a measurement you have after the recommend drop of 20mm for the MCA Reds.
Mine stock 17 had 160mm front and 300mm rear at these points, I am now at 140mm front and 280mm rear as recommended by the joint that built my coilovers. EDIT: I found the installation guide which recommends 350mm (13 3/4") center of wheel to guard. Disclaimer: these measurements are based of optimising IEM suspension geometry when installing MCA coilovers. Opinions may vary

Fairly level doesn't cut it here. It has to be flat and level. I'd bet there's also less weight on the drivers front/passenger rear because one (or both) are on slightly lower surface levels. Doesn't take much. Try rolling the car 6" here and there and see if it changes.

Sounds like you got it right this time. How much fuel you have in the tank can make a slight difference too. If you get coilovers, I'd recommend just setting them to where they're even at the spring perch. The car still won't sit perfectly evenly due to weight distribution, but it's close enough. If you plan to corner balance, that's a different story. |
