Money Shifted my car, should I be nervous?

So I did a track day at Laguna Seca today, and braking into turn 5, I downshifted from 4th to 3rd and took the rpms to roughly 8k - 8.5k.

Luckily I was braking so I took the revs under redline right away.

My engine is stock except for:
Perrin oil cooler
Perrin catback
Grimmspeed intake

The car is not acting unusual in anyway whatsoever, but is there damage I could’ve done that will bite me in the butt later? Or if there are no problems, am I in the clear?

I also punctured a tire but that wasn’t as worrisome as this.

TIA

I never money-shifted a car (or at least not as much), but I'd say that if anything worrisome was to break, it would have right away.

In other words, you're probably fine, don't worry about it.

If you hear any unusual clanging or clattering, you might have bent a valve. Our cars make lots of weird noises as is.

no, i only used it like that for a few months. and it was to give me more options in autox. less shifting and whatnot. I took it to 7900 once but that was so i didnt have to upshift. and i was immediately on the brakes again.

That high redline sounds nice...my 7.6k redline and 4.3FD were causing me to hit redline in 3rd well before most braking zones.

Also I drove the car around a bunch today and the engine seems as smooth as ever. I'll probably just try to forget this little accident.

It will be fine. I dumped mine hard enough to spin it 3 years and 50k miles or so ago. Still going strong. 7800 RPM redline on my car so I know it went well past 8k.
