Could be some debate as to what I am considering Front/Middle/Rear but it works for me

That's why I wanted to stay NA so I wouldn't add weight/complexity to the front. But im sure your car hauls ass!
what did you do for "DI Brackets/Others -5.5 lbs"
or what page on your thread is this one on.

EDIT: I see the two verus fuel rail covers drop 4.7lbs combined, that plus beatrush crash beam should have me back to OEM weight balance.

I had never given this much thought until now. That is quite interesting, retaining the 50:50 split when stripping out weight. Certainly brings a new perspective to my world.

You have a 17+ so you don't need the verus aluminum bracket since our years have an area to bolt the bottom to the block.

Then I just zip tied the top bolt hole to a fuel line I think. The second top hole on the ecu I added a ground strap although I don't think its necessary with the bottom bolt doing the grounding.

Yeah I try to hit weight reduction as a combo. If I take this much off the rear then I take the same off the front to try to keep the stock balance.

Examples:
Shorai Battery / Spare Removal
AC Delete,DI brackets,Windshield Washer / Rear Seat Delete
Front Bumper Beam / Rear Bumper Beam
ACE headers, Lighter FP / Titanium Catback

The car is still a bit light in the rear but I do plan to add in a Non-Aggressive diffuser and possibly a Sard wing.

While still trying to get more weight off the front:
-MPH CF hood
-Titanium Bolts (will take a lot to make a difference)
-Lighter Front Sway Bar, Cusco 16mm
-Maybe Lighter control arms
-Making Shorai Battery cradle lighter with Aluminum
-Chase Bays Clutch line replacement (-1lb)
-Chase Bays Brake Booster/Remove ABS (concerned about the computers reaction)
-Lightening Dash Beam (project in process)
-Dash Sound Deadening Removal
-Removing Front Tweeters
-Replace Headunit with a tablet and mini amp <1lb (Just running Wire to rear speakers)
-Figuring out how to get passenger Radiator fan to run by itself (both shut off when driver side one is unplugged)

-Removing AIRBAG box + wiring in car
-Possible AC condenser still behind firewall
-Possibly Moving Shorai battery to rear but Cabling will add weight but will help with FR/R balance
-Making any Steel Brackets out of aluminum somehow

@SuperTom have you taken this obsession from side-to-side (not just front to back)? I've always wondered if suspension is slightly tuned to account for the weight of the driver and no passenger. Maybe it's marginal, but makes me wonder none the less.

No my suspension is not tuned or corner balanced. Want to get it light as possible first before paying to do that.

Chase Brake booster/ ABS delete will take a lot of weight off Driver Front side. Will keep power steering as its built into the steering shaft and is only about 6lbs extra

Well a great day today got weight reduction and potential power boost at the same time. Got rid of my Hooker Headers FP and replaced it with a straight shot 2.75"/70mm ebay special front pipe.

The ACE 350 headers are shown to have gains with a larger front pipe.
Also lost -7lbs compared to stock front pipe!!

Here is the inside of the HOOKer FP with the cat got completely blown out

Ebay special $75 2.75" FP

Only 5.25lbs

Same inside diameter as my Ti catback

Connect to Faction Fab TI catback, pipe diameter the same all the way through for smooth power!! no more bottle necks with stupid donut gasket connection. Smooth is Fast!

New video not much sound difference but seems more smooth in the higher RPM's. Exotic racecar sound to me!
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRxMv3lE3kM[/ame]

I will try to get a in cabin driving clip soon

Also down to 2350lbs now! 50lbs to go

That is pretty loud lol interested in hearing some drive-bys. Are you going to keep it like that or will you switch out the front pipe?

I would need to swap in stock FP for inspection but that would do it. Weight list on first post. Been reading Miata forums they are a creative bunch

I don't have a good setup for driving videos but this should give an idea of the sound. Yes its loud but I love the tone. Cruising at 70 near the end of the clip its very sane.

Also keep in mind all my foam under carpet sound deadening is removed and I scraped out all the tar sound deadening.

Personally I love it and drive close to 100 miles a day on my daily work commute.

That does have a very nice tone. Windows down I am assuming?
