Good article here about how they bought most of it under the radar. Of course, once it was discovered the price skyrocketed. The first acre was @$80, the last one was @$80,000.

In anaheim, there was one strawberry farmer next door who wouldn't sell. When he died, his kids called Disney before the body was cold. That is how they were finally able to expand and build California Adventure.

next time just go to Epcot and drink yourself around the world. good times.

also Disney Springs or boardwalk or whatever it's called outside of Universal studios might be better for going solo.

Yeah I saw that car on YouTube. Looks nice. Iirc they build it there & you just buy the car. I was thinking more of building it, so can customize the way you want, like instead of classic i6, put like 2J or Beam engine & so on.

You'd have to be careful about the platform that you use for such a kit as the 2000GT is all about proportion.

I remember reading back some time ago about a kit based on the MX5. I'm pretty sure it's this one from Hiroshi, but not sure they still exist.

Yep. Kit cars only look like what they are based on. Unless you use the base car to build the kit on but of course that would defeat the purpose of a kit.
