Thank you all for the responses.
I've checked the tire pressures yesterday. They were 2.75-2.8 bar. I lowered them to 2.4 bar and give it a try this morning. I could only make a few tries. It seems to be better, but still traction takes the control if I foot down (which may be normal?). I'll check each tire size. I haven't checked that. I had all 4 tires changed. 4 of them were new, all had white green blue marks on the tire surface. The rims are after market; and there is no balance issue, I don't feel any vibration from wheels. My tires are Continental WinterContact TS 860 - 205/55 R 16 (91T). I couldn't find info that if they have a direction or not. I'll check the marks, written things on the tire. I plan to try with 2.2 bar. If I still get the issue after that, I'll go the Subaru service and ask them to read the ECU errors. |

just had a thought-- some people have had issues with the steering angle sensor causing the cars TCS to activate. but usually only after installing a different steering wheel, which you haven't done of course...
i really don't expect it to be the issue, but it's another consideration.

I've checked the tire dimensions and directions. They are all ok. I couldn't made more tries after I lowered the tire pressures, I don't feel alive nowadays. Anyway, maybe my issues were because of 0.4 bar more pressure + bad surface + cold weather and cold tires. Or maybe just me.

Hi.. Sorry for bumping this thread, but I think I've understood the reason behind this weird issue at last. High air pressures had an effect for that, but the main reason is: the tires does not grip well when they are new. Tonight, it was raining, and the weather was almost freezing cold. I've made the several tries on empty roads. I've even tried to foot down at 6000 and 6500 rpm. No single interruption by the traction control occurred. The car grips so well and I can control it on the corners much much better. The back is not playful, but I liked it a lot. I plan to buy a good summer tires this summer. Less grip tires are fun but, I think this car feels much better with better tires.
