You know sometimes the best things are left unsaid. Although, holding back on emotions can really put anyone in a worsen rut. So it's okay to let out all that anger or shout it all out.
About 4-5 months ago, I looked to take out most of my anger at the gym, mainly through boxing. That kept me in check and it did help keep my mind off my ex.
So it might be best to look for alternative outlets that may help you get over him. Hopefully that helps you out.

This is really good advice imo. When facing a break-up, find something constructive and fun as your outlet. Take some time and work on "you".
