OP has the most fitting name for this particular event.

LOL.

Good luck with your claim. I sincerely hope you win. I hate dealerships and warranties. I hate the way they snake out of doing the work, I hate their brainless techs, The management sucks.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I voided my warranty and bought my FRS. In that order.

Driving that car away was the least stressful thing I have ever done.

One way to avoid the headache.

Don't have the car anymore, but the Honda and the other Toyota are both more than a decade out of warranty, and it's so liberating to never have to see those smarmy little over-dressed f*cks in those too-expensive buildings.

Based on the freeze frame they are using to say over rev the oil was definitely not over heated. So that is out also

Toyota blew off the BBB complaint. Haven't heard from FTC or NHTSA and a overnighted letter was sent requesting a written denial letter and if one wasn't received in a reasonable amount of time it would be viewed as refusal of the request. I plan on doing a small claims court case for $5k soon. I honestly think they'll settle at that point but I think my case is strong enough to argue if they want to send someone.

Document every encounter and communication with Toyota reps/dealer and gather as much written material as possible to aid in your claim. I'm pulling that you get this resolved in your favor sooner rather than later.

***Have you looked into the VA Consumer Protection Act to see if there is any provision covering warranties/guarantees?

Hope you get this worked out in your favour.

In Canada we're on the metric system, so redline is 20,000rpm.

When we get pulled over for doing 90, it's because we're going too slow.

Seriously though, good luck.

Regardless of that i wanted to see if anyone else has had this failure.

Who has had a rocker arm failure ?
What mods did you have ?
Did Toyota/Subaru cover under warranty ?
so i think i am currently going to find this failure when i have time to work on the motor and see. but i am currently at 85k and i was around 5th or 6th gear when my egnine engaged in what i see it as a soft shutdown. from what ive been told possibly an exshaust roller rocker that got pushed out due to loss of oil pressure which also i was told the oil pressure keeps it in place as the lobes rotate.
