I got 5 trees down, 4 maples and a crab apple, till I tried to cut a stump of a bush and put the blade in the dirt for ONE second and... ruined chain. Dam. My 28" Stihl could go thru mud.

This big boy was out looking to feast on squirrels and chipmunks.

(Lousy photo because I took it quickly before he flew off, I believe it's a Cooper's Hawk, or what we call a Chicken Hawk here, but not sure. It was at least 18 inches, and may have been 24 inches tall)

We had a great horned owl in one of our trees last night. I sat out with him for about an hour. Huge. Looked like a large cat sitting in the tree as it got dark. Super cool.

You sure it was an owl? I've heard that these birds hang around when the hear a chain saw running - just to pick a finger or two -

Today I fixed a dishwasher at the rental. That was 10-11am. I just finished my last bit of work. 11:35pm. Also finished the taxes late last night (had an extension). Getting shit done.

My friend also helped get the bridge boards replaced. OMFG is nailing those giant nails a pain.
Gotta fill in some holes with concrete at the edges of the bridge. Also I think I'll pain over it all with tar. Should get a bit of extra life out of it all.
