My car choice would be dependent upon the country I lived in.. America, I'm afraid I would be looking at home grown muscle cars..

Been seeing a bunch of those around here lately. Not bad to look at. Kind of a mature look at this point.

Understood, that's why there are so many choices. There were lots of competing cars in that same price range to choose from. The yellow Vette was also a bit much (and a bit cliché) for me, but it was the best configured one for the price in the two minutes I took to look.

GT350R.

Flat plane crank v8. I have heard a couple in person and they sound glorious.

They are a lot lighter then any of the other stangs with a lot of factory track focused parts. I am not a ford guy but I would totally go for one of these. Otherwise the C8 hands down.

Lots of people get them, but I think the attraction for you is probably just how different it is compared to what UK people drive. Not many mustangs or vettes, but here, they're dime a dozen.

Oh, that might be an America only idiom. As common as Labor antisemites.

The Porsche wins because manual for me; the Supra would be my second choice.

I prefer the two seater, mid engine platform of the Cayman, so I would lean towards a used GT4 in order to get the NA 6 cylinder, but then I absolutely love the new 911. The interior, the rear light bar, everything is a winner for me, but the price is rough, so I would wait for a used one. They need to make a mid engine 911 that is a two seater. Could it still have the same dimensions? I don't know, but that would be my dream car.

At that price, refinement and luxury would have to be there, and it just isn't there for a Mustang GT350R or any other pony car. I'm not a fan of the other mentions.

The Porsche. 100%. Yeah, the C8 wins all the numbers and looks cool and is mid-engined, but do you really think it's going to be better to drive than the Cayman?

C8 is mighty tempting; curious why LT2/Z51 is a must for you over the base...
0-60 time?
Extra cooling?
For me the biggest catch with this car is the unproven DCT... could be an Achille's heel. Or it could be just fine...

As a recovering ex-AMG owner: RUN AWAY. Depreciation and maintenance will eat you alive..

By far the safest choice: the Cayman.

Jag F type? Meh. Unless of course you are hunting for cougars...

F-Type is the prettiest of the cars listed by a lightyear. Jaguar really makes good looking sports cars, the prettiest for the price. Corvettes are striking but not pretty. Porsches aren't pretty, and only the GT series is even marginally striking. AMG? Boring looking.

When it comes to cars, most anything an older lady will like, a younger lady will too. Especially convertibles.
