Remarks Muffler Delete (Quick Opinion)

Hi there...

It's been a while since I wrote anything on the forums... I thought to share my experience with the cheapest exhaust mod... The rear muffler delete!

I bought Remark's (AKA Greddy) Muffler Delete, with a fancy double wall burned finish.

When I installed it I was so happy with the quality of it, and the way it sounded from outside the car... then the happiness quickly turned into regret.... it DRONES like hell... And at commonly driven at rpms... Like 2500—4500rpms...

I'll direct my frustration to do another long-delayed project... Fully insulating the car with DynaMat... If the drone persists I'll throw that muffler delete away and get a certified drone free exhaust... I think Borla gives "drone free" guarantee on some of their products.

That was my experience, I thought I have to share it since the muffler delete is so cheap and tempting for many.

You can check how it sounds on my IG profile @abdalkarem_alabawi

Regard,

the single tip variant drones heavily too below 3 or so.

I kept it on cause its so damn light

but i would look to vibrant to weld on a small 6 inch run of resonator into the midpipe and help with that drone.

Ive even thought of welding up a helmholtz resonance chamber like they do in some miata exhausts

Well, it drones, because... the job of the muffler is to eliminate drone/noise, and you deleted the muffler...

Where can I get these? The resonator or the Helmholtz ball?

Exactly I think I'll eventually sell it, but won't be buying beers.

I'll buy me a proper drone free full exhaust.

If you plan on keeping the stock header you have a ton of drone free catback options.
Corsa is probably the loudest I'm aware of under WOT. Cruise is near stock levels of noise. Depends on your goals later. If you want catless headers stick with quiet catbacks.

Unbolt your axleback. Five minutes of work to give you the same effect.
If you like the sound, buy the delete piping.

I don't plan to go catless at all, even if I'll go for an aftermarket headers I'll get Catted one.

Thanks for the heads up and valuable suggestions.
