A/c behave weird
Hi
Ive not driven my car for few months . When i just drove it today ive noticed that the ac compressor kicks on and off by itself at idle. Cant remember that it was like this before ,is it normal or its a new behaviour? 720rpm normal and when it kicks in it decrease to 650 for 2secs and raise again till next time it stops and works again . (kicks on and off every 20secs) Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Car is clearly falling apart. Don't even bother trying to sell it. Burn it to the ground. The longer you wait the more likely it's going to end up kill you and those around you.
You should buy a new 2019 Honda Civc Si. It out handles and out preforms your crusty car any day all day long. Am I right or am I right?

Ok, I lied. It's normal.
Actually, for science, try this. while you're idling or in a situation where the compressor is cycling on and off quickly, crank up the cabin fan all the way. You'll notice that it starts running continuously. What's happening? There's a thermostat in the system that controls how cold the evaporator is allowed to get. It will easily freeze f there's not enough hot air being pushed through it. The thermostat says "ok, that's enough. Gimme a sec." and the compressor shuts off. That's what you notice. Normal and more importantly, healthy operation. If you didn't have enough refrigerant, or if something was wrong with the compressor, it would never cycle. Now, if it cycles and doesn't blow cold, that's a different story. That is an unlikely failure mode but it can happen.

It cycles every 20secs or so even while moving it’s just not as noticeable.

It would have to be very low on refrigerant and would cycle as, or more quickly with the blower on max.
