That's true for a lot of the car shows. I would say there is less than 10% of them I'd let even walk by my garage. I'm more of a "keep 'em like they were built" guy though. The artsy interpretations of a car don't do much for me. I don't mind some "modernization" but there are limits.
Also, where the heck do these shows find their "clients"? Is it that everyone that wants a $100,000 old/new restore pickup truck buys from these shows?

Honest answer; rear taillights, I didn't mind them at all at first but looking at them now I don't like the fake chrome on them, some aftermarket ones look tacky, some look nice, if I spot a set of '17+ taillights for a decent price (<$200 probably) I think I'll get them, I think they look much better being red but who knows in 10 years.
Also this thread really makes me want underglow, LED strips are super cheap these days... |

The reality is I would probably leave them alone and get used to those ugly assed, supercar wanttabe, too bright for people to follow you, things they "upgraded" to.

Unless you hitchhike they would be incredibly expensive free lights.

Living costs money, I'll bill it as a soul searching road trip and I've got friends on the east coast I want to visit.

The best mods are the ones you don't really see, with a few exceptions. Form<function.

Nothing wrong with Function<Form either though. There is no right or wrong way to mod as long as what you do you do well. Different goals are different.

What about mods you can hear ? Exhaust/header .... If you could flip a switch, go from aftermarket back to stock sound that would be great.
