WELL since you mentioned the passenger airbag sensor I think I'll go do this.

Yes obviously the car defogs/defrosts faster with the comp on, but again it's the principle.
I would love if there was a way to no turn on the AC when using the defroster as well.

This is how it works in most cars.

What's the easiest way to bring this up to Toyota? Anyone have a TSB reference or anything?

Someone needs to ask around and find out the reprogramming code to do it. It is a combination of using radio and A/C controls in my RSX. If the BRZ/FR-S has the function of forcing it on, I'm sure there is a way to disable it too.

Nice.

Is there anything physically different between the old and new ECU? I'm thinking if the two ECUs are actually different and the new one is better then its definitely worth getting not just for the DRL disable ability.

Didn't seem worth it until I read airbag sensor. Haha. Gonna check my VIN now.

Can you do it for the BRZ too? Where in mass are you located? I'm definitely taking you up on this offer when I get my car if I cant convince them to do it at the dealer.

Dunno about anyone else but I'm in it to get my horn to honk when I lock it. Haha. So we just ask the dealer to turn it on?

Any word on whether Toyota will fix fender bulges/tears on early gen FJ Cruisers? (07-09). I have always trusted toyota, but that was one sore spot for me. Totally off topic...sorry.
