Jerky Shifting with Auto trans?
The car shifts perfectly fine otherwise but in sport mode it just seems super rough and jerks the car between shifts. Or is this just how the car is in the sport mode? Can anyone confirm this. Car only has 12000 miles.

From what I understand sport modes primary function is that it’ll hold you in gear longer, and make it much more aggressive on downshifting. This will make it more “jerky”, but not obnoxiously so, mine is pretty damn smooth either way. I believe I have felt what you’re talking about, make sure you’re within operating temps before engaging sport mode or using manual mode. I’ve read conflicting statements on whether or not it changes how the differential functions, I believe it does but don’t quote me on that. Maybe the transmission fluid could use a change? Someone more mechanically inclined could probably give a better answer but my sport mode isn’t overly jerky.

I usually drive mixing up D, Sport, Or M. Ive noticed that my AT shifts roughly in one or combination of the following scenarios:
1. Car hasnt warmed up yet (first 15 min or so driving) 2. Shifting too early in M (low rpm/lugging) 3. In sport mode, when i accelerate in a hesitating manner, meaning i give it gas but very conservatively - like a bit too light and slowly. This usually happens when I treat the accelerator pedal as if i were in D. sport mode works beautifully for me whenever The car is fully warmed up, and i use the accelerator pedal a bit more deliberately that i would when leisure driving after about 15 minutes of warmups up to 3k rpm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Only jerky when in low gears/low RPM and feathering the throttle. It would do the same in a manual.

That’s exactly how mine behaves. When it’s cold it’s jerky and if I baby the throttle in sport it’s jerky. Guess it’s normal then. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
