Just ordered the Takeda. I will be doing a back to back dyno pull once I get the product.

Takeda AFE ordered, was going to go w/ perrin, but didn't look as good and also didn't make as much of a power/torque difference overall.

Stocked to get it for a good price! Hope it comes quick!

I ordered the Injen one, but I'm pretty tempted to jump ship. I ended up paying $250. I guess it's cheap enough to give it a whirl.

The Perrin one actually looked like it made more power than the Takeda, actually. Not sure what test you were looking at.

That was with his "big intake" and a tune...the intake alone made around 5-7 whp.

In 4th or 5th gear, on back to back pulls.

The Takeda dyno is a 3rd gear pull, 2.5 weeks apart.

For reference purposes, compare the back to back Injen 3rd gear pulls to the Takeda dyno. Even the Injen intake makes more power in that gear with back to back pulls.

EDIT: Honestly, it makes me mad to see Takeda post that without highlighting those discrepancies; it feels a bit dishonest, to me.

I agree but they are posting new dynos very soon. Also, I will be doing my own as well. I know the Injen puts out more power at top, but for what, 5-700 RPM's? not worth it to me, and I still think the Injen is ugly. Im not looking for it to be a rocket with just an intake, I am building the peices together to make the full package. I know the intake will work great with exhaust, headers, and a tune.

Oh, I'm not trying to promote any other intake specifically... I love how Perrin and AIRAID have been transparent with the community, and they have solid offerings, as well. My issue is specifically with how Takeda has approached their reporting from the beginning.

I will give you that sir. I appreciate that they have been open as well. That is such a great way to run a business. I am just that shallow I guess, I really like the look of the Takeda
