Quick update on the "new" project. (my 26 year old Chevy G20) Last night I used a grinder on any areas that were showing rust on the inside. There were rust bubbles on an area under my side window, so I took the window out to see how bad the edge was rusted. I then began sanding down the edge and getting ready to prime and paint all the prepped areas. The side window had ZERO calking of any kind. And the old rubber gasket failed a long time ago. So the edge was not as nice looking as I had hoped. Still, I learned a bunch, and my confidence in my capability is growing. (I am having fun!)

There was a ton of black tar like stuff on areas of the floor. I removed it. Now have to use some solvent to get the rest. You can see its still on the paint, even though I got most of it.

I have SikaFlex -715 I plan on using for the widow (and my Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe - I'm only a bit worried about cutting a hole in my roof for it) and possibly some Dicor sealant tape.

After getting the rust primed and the holes in the floor patched with fiberglass sheet and resin, I'll begin the wiring process, then start insulating.

That's all for now.

Of course! She will be pictured doing yoga at sunrise on the top of the van.

We will also be traveling with our obligatory cute puppy named Lulu. (shes been helping with the build. "Hand me that 7/16 socket Lulu" )

I guess the silver lining is State Farm allows for up to 50 dollar a day for rentals so the guys at hertz said once they get a “premium” car returned around Friday they’ll call me to see if I want to swap. One possibility is a Challenger. That’d be different at least.
I almost always get KIA rentals when I travel for work and I also really dislike the steering feel. I've felt the same way the few times I've had a Jeep Compass, Chevy Malibu, Nissan Altima... Sloppy input, and overbearing power steering that makes it feel super twitchy at highway speeds.

Many of these cars also have that pesky start-stop feature. I disable that right away if I can.

Always renews my appreciation for the overall driving experience of the brz.

Today is one of those days where it gets more difficult to motivate myself to give a fuck by the minute.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something/doing a terrible job, or if they didn't think my new role all the way through because I keep running out of work. No clue what to do for the next two hours.

That was my job for the final 6-7 years. I could do my job in about an hour a day. I read lots of books, and did lots of shit posting, etc..

I'd leave early but I'm still on a temp/visitor badge and I have to sign in and out. I'm just afraid someone is checking those logs.

Oh, on those days, just create a minor crises, tell your boss about it, then solve it. That should keep you busy till the end of the day -
