This is pretty important to me as a potential owner. Hopefully somebody figures out a way to fabricate a hitch that fits with the stock exhaust. However, it seems like this will be quite tricky...

Towing with the FR-S, hmm... If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. What do I know?

^I see MX5's towing little trailers all the time.

My bike and trailer are a pretty light load IMO. My bike weighs less that two large men. The trailer weighs even less than that. Considering its tow weight and not weight directly on the suspension I think the car can tow it fine.

With that said, I don't plan on being the guinnie pig. I have my buddies truck to use until other people prove that it can be easily done (as I suspect)

That's the purpose of this thread - to see what people think and what they are doing tow wise. Obviously I respect your opinion, I just feel it isn't necessarily correct.

It's always the people that have never done such things trying to tell you that you can't. I towed with a 99 Miata, C5 Z06, Acura TL, IS350, 08 STi, etc and its fine.

Now I can almost 100% say that the STi owner manual most likely says do not tow almost as explicitly as the BRZ manual does...

edit

Meaning that I agree with you ABQautoxer. Would love to hear stories of FRS/BRZ towing though.

I definitly figured it would be fine. I am just wondering if anyone has done it yet. And if so, what their rig is like - how it hookes up etc...
