Power is out. Looking at the outage map and seeing the extent of the outages first-hand, the utility company is either clueless or lying about the extent of the problem. But it's not all bad, I should have power back by 4pm tomorrow!

God that was so much fun to watch go down almost every day. That Imanage dude and his PMs to Jawn was historic!

wow, didn't realize people were falling for this...

it's interesting. while searching jawn's posts looking for if he had reposted those pm's(for the lol's), i came across a good number of girl user accounts in this thread. seems most of them tapered off around 2018 for various reasons...

He posted a few of the PMs. They were not all in random though.

4pm tomorrow? WTF? Did the power plant explode? I live in the boonies and when our power goes out, it's like 12 hours max.

Been some heavy weather in the mid-east lately.
Wrong side of the tornado tracks, power may be out for a few weeks.

Now it's estimated at 8pm, assuming more storms don't cause work to stop or cause another outage. Apparently some sort of cloudy swirling wind mass knocked out some trees and that took out a power line within a a few miles of my house.

Ya those California dudes have no idea what a storm is. We had about 10% of California's annual rainfall in under 1/2 an hour on the weekend. Ad straight line winds in bursts of approx. 90MPH and most of the state would have been buried under mudslides or blown over.

That storm was pretty crazy yesterday. I didn't see anything close to a funnel, but it was the first time I saw adult trees completely uprooted. The roots of one tree on its side were over 6' tall. Also took about four times longer than normal to get to work today due to downed trees and power lines. Not that I was complaining about that part.

started back to school for the first time in 13 years and I'm totally lost. They need to offer a class on how to take classes. it seems like 90% of the material and work is online and I have no idea how to access half of it. there was no way to find out what the textbooks were before class started or at least that I could find. that is just the tip of the iceberg.

to make matters worse I'm taking a 4 week accounting course so I don't have time to do much anything else besides work and run straight to class. it's going to be a lot of late nights and weekends just to figure out how I can do the homework and take the quizzes/tests. actual course material is cake.

what a f*cking mess.

Yeah, same. Apparently a tornado did touch down a bit north of Harrisburg though. This was taken near Jonestown Rd:

Idk, whether it was tornadic or not, there was apparently a metric F-ton of wind (was at work at the time). Didn't really affect my commute since I go south, and everything down here is fine, but showering this morning was interesting...

Good on ya!

I suggest first that you re-learn "how to study". The rest will be a cake walk -
