This is a common problem on all cars. If the dirt gets into the grease on the shaft or dries out then it’s going to feel notchy. You can try cleaning the fork externally and then reapply the grease but most likely you will need to drop the tranny and clean up the whole shaft. The fluid we bled was clean and the one in the tank is brand-spankin' new (maybe 200 miles on it).

I lubricated every articulation I could find in the pedal assembly with WD40, and added some where the slave piston meets the fork actuator (which is dirty AF). Will report back if this helps.

not a fix in a sense that if i put it back to the original clutch pedal position, it would probably happen again.

It is the pedal assembly. Loosen and re-torque the screws holding it in place. It'll fix it for a while. I vaguely remember talk of a TSB but... Personally, I'd look for where the bracket isn't seating properly and, if I could find a point where tightening a screw forces a flex, I'd stick a washer in between it and the firewall.

I don't. The best way to learn is by just getting in there on your back with a flashlight. Service manual is your best friend. Look in my sig line. It'll be under drivetrain>clutch>clutch pedal>components
