Random Thoughts - Part Deux [NO POLITICS]

On the lighter side, I made the Walmart run this morning. I found a parking spot where I didn't have to back into or out of.

I had a lady ask me where the pet supplies were - then she said oops, I thought you worked here, with that gray vest and all.

Well, that's better than people thinking I'm homeless and offering me money, as I stand outside of Walmart smoking a cigarette.

Hey, it's almost time for lunch and watch cartoons - followed by a nap -

Have similar stories and found out that things DO change over time. When my oldest daughter told us she wanted to go to a private collage we weren't financially prepared. My mother stepped in with $10 grand to help out. She gave us another $10 grand for our youngest daughter when she went to community collage. She felt it was only fair. My oldest brother was in charge of my mother's finances so he knew about this and told my other brother. He didn't think that was right and hounded me to repay our mother. When I approached her about doing so and she said no, they were gifts. If my brother was so upset he should have got his kids to get up off their butts and go to collage themselves! She spoke to my brother and I never heard another word about it. That was until our mother passed away. One of the first things out of his mouth was that they (the family) would deduct $20 grand from my inheritance which they did. I never said a thing about it because I didn't want to cause trouble. But I know it bothers my daughters to this day.

You tell her that as hard as it is for her it would be even worse for your family to loose her so close after your father. In time she will understand that the joy of living isn't tied to just one person but, to her entire family and friends.
My mother was 65 when my father passed away. She lived to be 91 and had a smile on her face every time I saw her.


DUH! I just realized, I'm the same age now as my mother was when my father passed.

folks.... I just spilled tuna wrap juice on my shirt and it smells...I drenched my shirt in the bathroom hoping to wash away the smell. Now I'm sitting in the office with a wet smelly ass shirt.

And that is why I always keep a spare shirt in my office...just in case.

lol, as Tcoat pointed out at least I didn't poop. However I have spare trousers and underpants in such a situation. I foolishly do not have a shirt which is dumb since I spill stuff on my shirt all the time, I grow more wise everyday.
