Lol I put my new wheel/tire package in my cart on tirerack a few weeks ago thinking "Daily high temps are starting to get into the mid-40s on the regular, better start thinking about that summer setup... I'll put this in here now, wait a couple weeks until I have the cash, and then when I do, it'll be perfect timing!"

Less than a week later, we had multiple 60+ degree days back to back. I rode the bike those days so as to not shred up my Blizzaks, but I was a bit salty nonetheless. Now, temps are like 25 when I leave in the morning (a bit too cold to ride comfortably) but like 55-60 on my drive home (a little hotter than I would want to be driving on winters, but perfect bike weather). I guess I should just shut up about the cold, wear my glove liners/balaclava, and ride lol.

Luckily I am on the total opposite side of the city from all those things so rarely have confrontations such as I did in The Great Berkeley Tee Shirt Debate of 2018.

Not too far off, he's in the middle bottom row. That's me to his right with my tongue hanging out.

He still looks pretty much exactly like that except his hair is shorter and his face is a little older.

He looks like Dave Grohl and Burt Reynolds had a love child.

Got rid of my driveshaft and back seat. Finch picked up the driveshaft yesterday. I should probably get rid of the stock intake too. Air Filter is still brand new.

They do outsource teachers, to untrained morons in online charter schools. Creating the next gen of untrained morons. that supply teacher thing is not something I am familiar with.

If by drugs and sex, you mean the good stuff, yeah. But you benefited massively from several economic booms that Gen X missed.

See above. You retiring now with a house and multiple cars and such benefited greatly from the date of your birth. I'm in a great financial situation, but most of my friends are not so lucky, despite being smart, hardworking, and educated. I have a 42yo friend saddled with debt and still living with parents. He works 50 hour weeks + 20 hours of commuting, makes 80k+, and cannot afford to move out thanks to debt payments. They're all college debt for law school.

They just faded into the background, which is about the most Gen X thing they could possibly do.
Gen X got shafted with bad economic times. All we got is Nirvana, and I hate Nirvana.

If you're living paycheck to paycheck and have multiple bikes, you're doing it wrong. Don't live within your means. Live beneath them.

Sexy.
Nope. I did not. Nor did my family. Those booms may have impacted many but not all. I was born dirt poor and remained that way until about 2008. This jealousy over all these things we supposedly had are not accurate for everybody. No more accurate than the stereotypes that are applied to the other generations.

Didn't expect it to be on fire, because...you know...sea water, but something like that.
