Darn. Wife just text me from work. The check engine light came on in the Honda. I should probably get a cheap code reader. Always something.

Same thing just happened with our Suburban but I already know the cause, it has be emissions inspected by the end of the month... Happens with one of our cars just about every year.

I love my code reader paired with torque. Best $20 I ever spent ($15 for the reader, $5 for the "pro" version of torgue)

What reader?

Edit; I'm lucky, this is my first check engine light in one of our cars since the oxygen sensor went out on my truck under warranty in 2005.

Just got this and paid $5 to have it delivered today. Says compatible with Torque Pro. Awesome!
Veepeak Mini Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner... $10.98

Mine is probably 5 to 8 years old and bigger than the one you ordered, but the Bluetooth ones (at least on the low end) are all about the same.

Of the 5 cars in my family, only one is under 100,000 miles, and one of them is over 200,000 miles so O2 sensor failures are the cost of doing business for us. Still cheaper than a new car!

That is what I keep telling my kids. You can do a lot of repairs a year for a fraction of the cost of car payments!

Of our 6 cars only 2 are over 100k: Honda 133k, Porsche 123k. I have 3 under 40k! I shouldn't need to buy a car for a long long time I hope.

I love buying new cars. I tend to get bored or my needs change. We have 5 cars right now. We'll be turning in the leased Spark in a month, and likely will sell the Forester in the next year.

Just bought Sony in-ear noise cancelling headphones. I can't sleep with over-the-ear Bose.

I hadn't driven the truck for a few weeks. Man, it is comfortable, and it's great for bombing out of steep driveways like the one at work.

Saw a BRZ owner last night at the gas station. Dude wasn't on the forum but was on Facebook. So sad.

That's how it is these days.

Most people only come on here for the marketplaces, if they even go on the forums at all.

Otherwise, "what's the forum even useful for?"

Hate to say it but it starts with my generation. Super lame.

Isn't Facebook that site where bored married women hook up with high school boyfriends to bang on the side? Or is it the one where people can announce to burglars they will be out of town? I forget.
