Basically cracked through in two spots, and it's hard to see in these pictures but scrapes along the black edge, and a ragged "tear" between the black and white between the cracks.

Everything is still held on rather sturdily but I've been driving slower to be cautious.

Probably going to have to buy a new set from Japan and then try to sell the old set for half or so of what I initially bought it for to re-coup and let someone try dealing with repairing it.

I'll probably get a couple quotes first to see if it's even repairable and for how much, but I don't really think I'll want to use it in that case.

Unless I go full California drift missile ricer and drift stitch it to keep it together.

LOL I had that whole conversation with my son in law back at Christmas. An oven window is almost useless about 95% of the time.

As Tcoat said, I blew up the inside glass. I got lucky that it is still in one piece. Service guy said usually they blow up into a billion little pieces all over the inside of the oven. Real mess.

yes we did, and no, brand new oven. I'm real good at testing new product durability.

Not as fun, and home made sourdough right out of the oven is awesome.

Sure, wife would love that.

GE is covering it under warranty, so I'm not touching it. Service guy is waiting for parts. Should be this week.

I would slap some flexible adhesive in there throw some paint on it and call it a day. That is just me though.

Need to move to Atlanta, it gets cancelled if there is a threat of snow somewhere in the general vicinity. Anything over two snowflakes falling counts.....
