Seriously though, we have too many idiots in America to not protect yourself (depending on where you live). If I lived in a major city you best believe I would always have a knife on me.

Just like cars, you'll be surprised how many factors there are to consider when buying a luxury purse!

I agree with Giccin to an extent, there is a lot of negativity aganist women around car forums and in games, but I find that they're mostly keyboard warriors and are like that to anyone who's new or a beginner regardless of gender.
There's the stereotype that female gamers and/or car enthusiasts are butch/lesbians etc etc and most of us really aren't like that. So for me, I've found that they're many people are rather quiet and nice irl (jdmst meets anyone?)

To add on to Giccin's list though, I think that some women find the 'hey, ASL?' thing annoying, but I'm usually too buried in the game care

Yeah, I avoid going to any sort of car meets due to the negativity towards women, though I supposed I know of fit the stereo type in being a lesbian, though not butch at all, however I've never had the same issue when it comes to any sort of gaming stuff, probably because gamer guys are too socially awkward to treat women poorly like the car guys do.

Gamer guys are all like you're a gamer? wow, that's awesome, car guys tend to just leer at you and treat you like you don't know what you're talking about, even though I probably know more about cars and have done work on my own cars more than they have.

Gamers can be pretty bad from my experience but it depends on the genre. In FPS shooters it's mostly males and I've played in a quite a few pubs that had nothing but pigs in it. It seems more balanced in RPGs and I've heard stories that confirm this but there's probably a few radicals that I just don't see.

I know it's our culture that see cars as a masculine hobby but sports cars to me always seemed like it appealed to both genders.
