Loads and loads of cats are bred and not feral. There are also plenty of bastard puppies born because Fifi the poodle got it on with Max the bulldog when their owners weren't looking down at the dog park. I would bet that overall the number of deliberately bred puppies and kittens are pretty much equal. The only reason you see big feral colonies of cats but dogs ones are rare is because dogs are just to dumb to sustain themselves.

Only partially true, and I think the lack of human interaction when they're very young is where this hurts. So 'being ignored' is more of a way of life, and that does tend to result in fewer being dedicated to their family. Extended by people getting them because they 'want a pet' but don't really want to participate.

But not always. Dogs in a bad home go bad. Pitbulls can be amazingly sweet, or horrifyingly aggressive. And I've lived places where there were 'feral' dogs. Unlike feral cats, they were a danger to small children, not just obnoxious prats or your friendly local rat control. Feral cats are let alone, but wild dogs are a problem.

OKaaaaa.

True story, as printed in the Seattle Times a while back. This dude from the UK flew in to Seattle, met up with a fellow that lived just north of Seattle, who had this dog.

He flew all the way from the UK just to screw this dog.

Sounds like a shaggy dog story.. no idea why the UK dude flew to Seattle when there are plenty of dogs in the UK!

Obviously, the cat didn't like you and was marking it's territory by pissing in your shoes.
