That's just what Toyota set it to. It's good for 7k rpm with the stock drivetrain. With built of course, I've seen 8krpm but sweet spot is 7800rpms. 7800rpms with torque that matches hp (400wtq/400whp) is good for drifting

2az with stock internals "safe" is good for around 6800RPM. with valvetrain upgrade 7800RPM is possible but only efficient if you have supporting breather mods like intake manifold, bigger spec cams and the head ported as far as the engine itself goes. but i had my completely stock 2az at 320whp on 93 pump and 390whp on E85 =)

you are right, you dont NEED to change the manifold but i did say the high revs were possible but only efficient if you had those supporting mods. trust me, been there done that =) however i also cant wait to see the dyno graphs this car makes on boost =) |

If this goes well, Don might be the first person ever in the USA to turbo charge the NA FA20.
Can't wait for the RESULTS |

There are others out there working on this. I'm sure all of you are aware.
Others seems to be all hush hush, top secret like as far as the building process and straight up info goes. So following that. Don, I would just like to thank you for being so upfront with this build. Contributing to this community from right here, front and center, no smoke and mirrors. Putting yourself and, biz out there. Like "this is what we do and, how we do it." I'm pretty sure (I hope) your biz will be rewarded by this. Again Thanks:happy0180: This thread is top of my list everyday. ![]() I,m a fellow Ohioan (2.5 Hours away), I'll have to come up there some time to check you out. So mandatory question. I know its early, but will you sell parts from your kit individually? |
