Gotta say, no offense, but when I saw you have two Preludes....

This happened to me ALL the time when I owned my Supra. Freekin' Honda-tards wouldn't stop trying to race me. It actually got OLD, thats how much it was happening! I never thought I'd tire of destroying Hondas...learn something new everyday.

Maybe almost all the tC's YOU see in YOUR area. This doesn't constitute the REST of the entire Country. Don't be so confined to your own town buddy. The demographic based on gender for the tC was largely male when first launched, then it moved to about 50/50 male/female after being on the market for a while and that's where it is now...50/50.

I'm going to be honest. The last couple posts got me thinking this site is full of guys who shit on one brand yet the car they drive is from a brand that doesn't have consecutive RWD sports car and it's most likely the leader in some FWD crap that is known for being reliable. I own a Acura/Honda, RSX/Integra and I don't pretend I drive a Porsche or something else with a lot of RWD sports car heritage. A lot of you guys fit into that "V-tec just kicked in yo" crowd. If this car is great and I love it then I will buy it regardless of what someone else thinks.

And no, I get it, I understand. He's a Toyota guy, at least at heart. I was just pointing out something he's overlooking. He was painting Scion the EXACT same way Honda kids used to be, and that is definitely not true. I don't think I've ever had a Scion guy, or seen a Scion guy, rev their car at my 86 and try to race it.

Actually, not even the Honda crowd does that nowadays. I just get a thumbs-up everytime.

You know whats sad? The fake 'drifter' crowd, always driving a 240sx, never even acknowledge the 86. Just drive right by it. Always make me sad to see that.

Ok, I know you're joking there....either that, or you are incredibly ignorant.

Take a look at my name, OldskoolToys...Toys is a double meaning...1) Cars, they're my toys, 2) Toys...as in Toyotas. OldSkoolToyota's...you know what Old school Toyota's are? RWD...errr, and AWD in one case....would love an ST165 All-Trac.

Things wrong with your post:
A) The only brand out there, Japanese, with a consecutive series of RWD cars out for more than a decade, CURRENTLY, is Mazda and their Miata, yet that doesn't detract from the other companies strong racing heritage. Technically the IS series is a Toyota, and its been out just at a decade now....so you could say Toyota is still in it.
B) Toyota has a HUGE RWD sports car heritage, dating back to the '60's with the 2000GT, and had a RWD sports car in one form or another, from then until 1998 (in the U.S.).
C) Honda, did/does not.
D) My post was just pointing out the irony in his statement. The honda crowd is known as "the honda crowd" for a damned reason, because, thats WHAT they did in those days. They earned that negative stigma through their own enthusiasts. I continued by saying I've never seen a Scion owner act like that, and even then, no where NEAR the number of Honda guys if they had. On the flip side, I understand not ALL honda guys are apart of that crowd. That is aside the point of my original post...it was just pointing out irony.
E) I bash on anything FWD, I don't care. I give due respect to the S2K because, aside from being a RAGTOP (note: not because its HONDA), its an amazing sports car to me. I just could never own one because its not a hardtop coupe. I'm just not a roadster kinda guy. The only reason the MR-S (MR-2 Spyder) gets a pass is cause its a Toyota. Yes, I am biased...again, look at my name. S2K > MR-S in every facet in factory form...still take the MR-S over it though.

Hey, Scion isn't my bag of tea either...but damn, its nothing like the old Honda crowd.
