You never know, they might tease us with a fully customized TRD version today. I mean it wouldn't make sense for the Gazoo festival to steal all of TMS's thunder. That being said I'm glad that the carbon fibre roof isn't standard on all the models, well the high spec and up, cause that would seriously drive up the price.

He saved 10 lbs. Performance-wise, it's not exactly worth the effort. But cosmetically, if it tickles your fancy...

Lol everybody wants a race car but they don't want to pay the price for it. I thought it was supposed to be affordable and everyone wants more tacked on to it. The purpose us that we build it how we want it so just plan on aftermarket everything lol

i wasnt saying i wanted to do the same, just trying to show the amount of work that needs to be done

I traded in my E46 to have an Integra Type-R again, there not enough CF in the world to make an M3 as nimble as an ITR ;-D

the M3 is a sledgehammer with a really powerful motor, the ITR and Miata (and quite possibly the GT86) are scalpels with less powerful but fun motors

I sure am not. I guess my sarcasm didn't come across strong enough in my last post in this thread.

If anyone wants to wrap their roof in carbon fiber lemme know..! I woulda done it on mine but I have the asphault and I am probably going to give the car a full wrap in a bright color.. But a carbon fiber roof/trunk/ and or hood would look sick on a lighter colored frs. Located in Gardena California.

Thank you for reusing an old thread. I honestly missed this gem of a discussion.

The aluminum is almost as light and a lot cheaper. Ferrari uses aluminum for the same reasons.
