I've been spoiled by actually being able to see at night, so nowadays I cannot drive any car that doesn't have a proper HID retrofit.

I also cannot live without a turbo. Every car I've owned ended up getting turbocharged or came that way from the factory. It was my favorite thing about those cars, but also what ended up killing them... My FR-S hasn't been boosted yet, but it will be happening soon.

What tires do you have on? Are they on the stock wheels? I’m looking to change my tires as well. I’m on the stock ones.

I got new 17x8 rota wheels first, to say they looked stretched is not out of the question... the stock tires were fun but horrifying in most situations too. Went to 225/45 Continental Extreme contact tires. Filled in the wheel wells nicely, much better ride and traction in every situation. Just know that the stock suspension is too soft for them and you'll get a bit more body roll than before...maybe lose like 1 mpg too. (not that it matters much after you have more fun) You can step down to a Firehawk and it should give a better balance of grip vs fun...or maybe just get stock size tire. A local has the firehawks on PP package and it looks square on them. pretty good, he even got spacers to get them flush to fenders but car looks lifted for some reason.

Do you have a HID unit that you can recommend? The reviews on Amazon seem to be pretty spotty...

I got the Morimoto retrofit kit from The Retrofit Source. I recommend doing it properly and opening the headlights so you can replace the projectors. It's not hard and results in a much better experience compared to just sticking HID bulbs into the stock projectors.

Tint

I've had the windows tinted every car I've had in the last 10+ years.

Is tint a mod?

10 commandment required mod list was found on a mountain top in Australia

1. Hankook RS4
2. Enkei RPF-1 17 Χ8
3. MCA street performance coils
4. MCA traction mod
5. Alignment
6. Punched out cat in OEM 17+ header
7. 2.5" Overpipe
8. Overpipe back 2.5" exhaust
9. Mishimoto intake hose (sans resonators, lol)
10. Ecutek

And god saw every thing that 86MLR had done, and, behold, it was very good bang for his buck. And there were skids in the evening and in the morning, god saw the skids on the sixth day at the "Nasho", and god said "do another mad skid yakkarn".

Disclaimer: No deities nor mythical creatures were harmed during the mods, a unicorn came close once when it ran out onto the road, but fortunately, was avoided.

If you gut it, you won't need a turbo. I was gutted and am NA and i can beat turbo twins.
