Enable TPMS on non-US BRZ

I've got a 2017 BRZ, and here in Canada TPMS is not mandatory so it's not a feature on my car. I know there are aftermarket systems, but given it's included on the US models I'm wondering if there's any way to enable it on the Canadian model (assuming I purchase and install the sensors). Has anyone done this, and if so how?

You'd probably just need a TPMS programmer in order to get it done. The FR-S in Canada had TPMS. I bet the only thing missing from the BRZ are the sensors for the wheels.

On the flipside, is there any way to disable TPMS on American cars?

Beastronix's 86 nanny. Although I remember reading he's either stopped production or is on hiatus.

Thanks, #Trueweltall. I had my other car in for service at Toyota today so I stopped by the parts desk to ask about the TPMS. His opinion was that the BRZ wouldn't have the receiver module installed. Wonder if anyone out there could confirm.

The BRZ does have it installed, the door control and the TPMS are one receiver located on the back shelf. The service wiring diagram confirms this as being a dual function unit on page 252. http://www.ft86club.com/files/BRZwiringi.pdf

I think there is also one in the front behind the radio. Check out page 42 in the same PDF, A30/A64.

Though a pressure stick would be far cheaper.
If you walk around and look at the tires, sometimes (not always) you can see a sub pressure situation before it becomes acute.
Then you fill it up with air until it gets round again.
I know it's daft! It's traditional though.

TPMS is a safety feature. It only indicates pressure is low when it is a safety concern. It does not help with maintaining the optimal pressure for performance and/or efficiency. It does not show actual pressure and specific tire.
I would add something like this.

The Subaru scan tool at my local shop can pull both the individual pressures and temps at each wheel through the OBDII port. It would be nice to have on display.
