Maybe, although I heard that noise when they started releasing us from the hot pits, just one or two squeaks, but knowing my history of shit going wrong I decided to play it safe and pit back in.

I seem to recall you told me last year at TWS that this was going to be your wife's car

Installed a used CSG Touring 86 Competition catback. Drove about 10 miles, the exhaust is slightly louder but does not scream up top as much as I hoped it would. Will have to wait until the next hdpe to see if I can hear better where I am in the rev range with the windows down and other cars around me.

Installed the MCA traction mod. Super easy install but I was too lazy to take the wheels off so it took a while to torque the upper bolt on the brackets because the torque wrench had very limited movement. Will have to wait until the next track weekend in October to see the effect.

Could you down a comparison? I'd love to see the Aim/SmartCam setup compared to a gopro/harry's setup—which is what I currently run.

Are you doing anything for audio? I'm starting to make a plan for some sort of multiple mic->recorder setup.

With the GoPro, out of laziness, I just watch my driving here and there with no data overlay. With the Solo 2 DL/SmaryCam combo I will finally be able to learn something useful. Not doing anything about the audio yet, if the sound quality is bad, I will look into an external mic.

Does the SmartyCam log lap times as well? Just wondering if it makes sense to buy both the solo 2 dl and the smartycam, or just one of them. I have a go pro session so I could probably sync the video to the solo 2 dl, but I guess my hope is that the SmartyCam is kind of an all-in-one solution. Thoughts?

By itself, the SmartyCam will log only lateral acceleration. If you connect an AiM GPS receiver ($150), the cam will also log position on the track, speed, and lap times.

Installed the Beastronix V2 86Nanny.

Placed the switches in the center cubby. The front piece is made of an old license plate and coated with Rust-oleum flexible rubber coating. Then I have a piece of foam to keep everything in place and the wires go through a hole cut in the back. Wife's little hands sneaked the wire through the center console and out on the driver side.

Switches left to right: pedal dance, ABS, FAN. The ABS switch works only when the pedal dance switch is on.

This is how the 86Nanny is sitting under the steering column.

Beat the shit out of the metal plate including flattening out the outer edge so that the Nanny can be bolted and put some extra washers on one side so that there is not too much stress on the plastic edges, and everything just fits.

The last picture shows the steering wheel in the lowest position, there is no interference whatsoever. The only thing to figure out is where to place the OBDII port extension.

I hope this installation completes my list of mods for the time being. At some point I want to put in aftermarket seats and a 4-point roll bar/half-cage and install the OS Giken/rear diff and subframe bushings but I want to take a break from further mods for a while and switch my focus to other car projects that I left unfinished in the midst of prepping the BRZ for track duty.

Why'd you decide to get these? TBH I'm not even sure what they're supposed to do, but I'm guessing they somehow firm up the rear suspension. I haven't felt the need to do much back there, so I'm curious.
