I wonder what the percentage is for Santa Clara Superior Court cases being gang-related. Must be fairly high. Quote:
![]() Of course, I found out about one of the cute girl's fiancé AFTER she asked me for a couple dollars cash and offered to pay me back later (on venmo).

Been talking with a shrink a lot over the past couple months. Have addressed a metric fuck tonne of issues in my life with him. Slow and steady improvement is awesome.
Bombshell got dropped though when he told me that he believes I exhibit more than a couple telltale signs of Asperger's. Honestly kind of a relief to find out I may not be an absolute asshole, and that there's something a lot deeper going on. Thank fuck for work benefits. What else is new? Recently single (yay for realizing I was a pathetic drunk too late), I have inherited a truck from my dad that I plan to rice out in the most hilarious way, I'm living with my parents again until i find my feet after said breakup, am likely about to get a sweet promotion to another department at work that will have me travelling almost never. What's good, random thoughts? |

Nobody wants to be an asshole. Congrats for taking concrete steps. Take it slowly and stay committed to the process.

![]() Sorry to hear you and your lady friend parted ways. Glad to hear you are talking over some of your self concerns with a professional. Asperger's - you may wish to follow up on that - ![]() About the "drinking thing" - it's NEVER too late to stop drinking. Rice out a truck? - I don't know about that - ![]() Congratulations on your promotion at work. Maybe less travel will help stabilize your life. I reckon it's time to move out of your parents place. Good on ya Cole, keep in touch - humfrz |

In the US getting called to the Jury pool is random selection, but not actually being on the jury. The lawyers on both sides have an opportunity to interview jurors and have a certain number of "dismissals" they can do from the interviewees. The exact process varies between jurisdictions.
The one time I've gotten called, I sat in the jury pool all week and every case settled before going to trial so no one was ever called to interview. I listened to audiobooks, surfed the web and played games on my tablet. We were also given 90 minutes for lunch each day, and we were released just about every day by early afternoon. Since my company pays you while on jury duty (for up to 6 months I think) it was sort of like being on vacation. Now, MomHawk has been called 4 times and each time ended up on a jury where the case lasted several days, so obviously YMMV.
