I'm trying to replace the clutch fluid and I have gotten very little fluid to come out of the bleeder valve. I took the banjo bolt off as well and fluid won't come out. The reservoir is a little bit before low and I have tried pressing the clutch with the valve open pumping the pedal but nothing..

Is your clutch pedal adjusted properly? Does the piston in the master cylinder fully extend?

The piston must fully extend/relax in order to open the port to the reservoir.

From you description is sounds like you are pumping while the bleeder port is open? This will get you no where.

Pump the pedal with the valve closed. Then while the pedal is depressed crack the bleeder to let the pressure/air/fluid out and then close. Then rinse and repeat till happy. Make sure the reservoir stays full.

Key point: Never release the clutch pedal while the bleeder is open. That will just suck air into the system which isn't what you want to do. Also, never let the reservoar go empty.

I'm pumping with the valve closed and then open it when the pedal is pressed and doing that process for 15 minutes no fluid is coming out. I'm going to get a vacuum bleeder and try to pull any air out.

check that master piston adjustment. Normally, if that bleeder valve is left open, it'll just drain on its own.

) Since my clutch job was done a few weeks ago I get the feeling that when I push the pedal in it's not releasing completely and sometimes if I'm not at a complete stop it's really balky going into 1st. Sometimes in heavy traffic you need to go in and out of gear and I used to be able to do it smoothly into 1st up to ~6mph. There's also a slight shudder if I can't release the pedal completely in gear and have to feather it. I noticed this morning before pulling out of the driveway that when I pushed the pedal down and put it in 1st the rpm's dropped a hair and it sounded different than when nothing was done. Should I assume the pedal needs a slight readjustment? Also they said they did a flush and bleed of the fluid but it's as black as it was before, should I just do it again (after the pedal is adjusted properly)?

I would suggest you do an adjustment and bleed the fluid just in case it's black as you said. But this job was completed by a shop you really should take it back to them and show them

I got my clutch working. Had to press the clutch pedal loosen the bleeder and press fork pin on the slave towards me to force air out. Then I put a hose on the bleeder with some fluid in it and opened the bleeder and slowly pressed the clutch. This also forced the rest of the fluid out.

Did the fluid look lighter right afterward? If it did, then some of the crap along the bottom of the reservoir mixed in with the new stuff. Not a big deal. If it didn't, then they may well have blown off the flush.

I'll guess that air got into the system one way or another. Try just giving it a good bleed.

The clutch is self-adjusting. Improper adjustment of the clutch pedal linkage is a different thing. If it was ok before the clutch job, it's ok now.
