For what it's worth... I talked to a very experienced driver at VIR recently. He's owned / run a '99 Miata since new. He's one of our Senior Instructors / Very Experienced drivers... He's running the current Maxxis tires and has been very pleased. They sound like a Nitto NT-01... heat cycle / wear / consistentcy...
