Best way to brace this super wobbly wing?
I recently got and installed the GTC-200 Drag wing from APR and as the video shows, it needs some bracing. Ideas?

Yeah lose the wing.
Lol I'm joking. Get larger plates on the underside mounting holes.

You need cinder blocks between the thin trunk alloy sheet and the chassis.

Looks like the trunk is too flimsy to support it.

It looks like you mounted it to the sheetmetal, and not to anything structural...

Can you post a pic of the underside of the trunk that shows where the bolts come thru? You're going to need a custom plate on the underside that ties into the frame of the trunk lid.

Best way to brace this super wobbly wing?
I'd fill the cavity where the bolts are with dense structural foam. Nice and light, and it'll stiffen the panel right up.

OP, If you use foam, I would highly suggest using low expansion spray foam. If you use the 3X expansion, it can warp the trunk lid. I watched my friend destroy his trunk lid by using the stuff that expands too much.
Edit: Saw the underside photo. Forget expansion foam. Either: Remove the wing and sell it. Use money to fix holes in trunk. OR Take the wing off, build underside brace plates, do body work on the damaged area - then paint, now re-install the wing. OR Get a new trunk lid and start over. Good luck!

The key is to be patient and do a little at the time. If your foam expands 3X, only fill 20% of the cavity. Rinse and repeat. And don't pour foam in a large cavity through a small hole, than can cause a blockage and generate pressure.

I think longer bolts and new under mount plates are what is needed though. Forget the foam.
