Where do you get this from? The only info I have is from Toyota tracking and that just indicated that the car will be ready by end of August - currently its still scheduled for production.

I just spoke with my salesman about this letter, at first he pleaded ignorance until I started quoting from the letter, then he feigned a knowledge of 'hearing something like that'. In the end he said my car (ordered 30/6/12) shouldn't be affected and still to expect delivery around Xmas time. He reckons the Toyota Tracking will be updated at the end of this month with projected production date for my order. We will wait and see, not 100% convinced and if there is no change at the end of the month I may start shopping around and see if any other dealers have a GTS to spare. The dealership I'm buying from (Pacific Toyota, Cairns) does currently have two MT GT not sold, one in blue and one in silver. I just couldn't bring myself to trade down to one though.

I called up my dealership and they pretty much apologised and quoted from the bulletin. Not much to do now other than wait and hope Toyota/Subaru starts a new line or look at other cars if the wait is too long.

in the same boat as you mate. annoyed that nothing is concrete. at first i had a GT on order and then changed to GTS and dealer told me sept build/oct delivery and now all these bulletins come out, and i've asked my dealer but they don't know at this stage. nothing can be confirmed. ah F***, frustration. going to speak to subaru this weekend and see what they say about timeframes, but probably the same thing. might jump ship if toyota can't deliver... F**KING FRUSTRATED because i got no car atm.

I don't hold much hopes for the BRZ, reckon the wait will be just as long. Sucks you don't have a car though.

I feel you man. I'm in the same boat at the moment. My car sold SO much faster than expected and my car-to-be got delayed a month. I feel like a child having to borrow my parents' cars when they're not using them.

It'll be worth the wait bro. Lets just hope Toyota kicks production a notch or two higher, I can't see this sort of wait being maintained. Good thing I didn't sell my car just yet though.
