Easy answer. I call it the GT-R spec.

Buy base GT spec, save $7 grand.
- Spend $2k on lighter JDM wheels and tires (you'll do it anyway).
- Use remaining $5k on coilovers, top of the line recaros and a better head unit.
- HID's are $100 (speak to user: WTF)
- Fake carbon bits will be on eBay and wreckers within 6 months
- Electronic dash, push button and handles if thats your thing.
- Bigger brake kit from WRX range (proven basically pointless so piss that off until BecauseRacecar)


Winning.

18 months for a GTS, that gives plenty of time to save up more $

if you read the letter again it says "waiting period for GTS to extend beyond 18 months"

Well my July delivery got pushed out to September. Fingers crossed it doesn't get pushed back any more.

Ugh, I hope this doesn't interfere with my existing order for a GTS... The saleman last said it was scheduled for October, but he also said he hadn't looked at the tracking details yet...

I'll have to get them off him.

but according to other threads there are 50 - 80 BRZ's available to be delivered this year if you order now.

Hmmm 300 cars being delivered this month to Australia to customers yet people who pre ordered early are getting their delivery dates pushed back another month :( That doesn't sound right, would have expected all the pre orders to be delivered if it was out of that 300....

Really? I figured that they'd be sold out already given they are only importing 200 or so.

Actually it sounds right when you add up how many dealers there are in Australia and divide it by 300.

Especially considering most of those pre-allocated cars were due to arrive in July and August anyway. First true customer orders look to be arriving from August onwards. Everything up until that point was allocation matching order.
