I can't keep buying peoples used stock tires mounted to their wheels, and I don't want to pay all that money for so-so tires.

I'd just have to drive a whole lot more. I think, should I ever need to actual buy another set, that I'll just get some super sticky autocross tires. May as well grip.

Well, more like 25. This is my second set. I'd be happy having an excuse to switch up more often but I never make it out to AX or the track.

After more than a week, the main road to and from where I lived reopened yesterday. It was closed due to flooding. A coworker managed to get an image of the tree line where you can see just how high the water was. All that brown stuff on the trees and bushes is mud. This wasn't the highest part of the water line, but it is the only image with another car for scale.

Mine lasted 16k, if I remember right. 20K is the most I have had for a set.

Remember that 95% of my driving is on the highway. Not much chance to ruin tires. At 120,000 miles I still have the original brake pads and at this wear rate they are good for another 50K at least.

Ok, WOW! I had to replace my brakes at around 60,000. And I thought that I was driving like a granny to make them last that long!!!!!

Reminds me of my 1994 Isuzu Rodeo. It had 4 wheel disc brakes. I had 185k miles on the original brakes when I had a shop do the brakes. They call me and say, "you really don't need to change them, they are still at about 35%." That was a great vehicle. I sold it to a friend in '06 and it is still going today.

Correction, sold it to a guy I met.

Just finished haggling over a set of used (but in excellent condition) RPF1. They are narrower and less aggressive offset wise than I thought I was going to get, but the price was OUTSTANDING! I am getting 17x7.5 +48 silver RPF1. For tires: Size will be 215/45 or 225/45. Brand and model Undecided...
