Maintenance to driveline components?
Without crawling under my 2013 FR-S.....are there any items in the driveline that need regular greasing or other maintenance? Like a U-joint or slip yoke on the driveshaft?
I don't drive hard, or track my MT model, but there seems to be some slack in the driveline - with 27K miles. looking for easy answers. Thanks. |

No where in the service manual does it say to service the drive shaft under 100k....but shit happens you never know.
What I think you are experiencing is loose axle nuts. Either get them re torque or get new axle nuts.

Slack in the driveline is 90% in the diff mounts and engine mounts. Adding the diff bushing inserts and subframe bushing inserts helped immensely. |

Unless you hear a clunk or sounds from under the car that shouldn't be there it should be fine. The u joints and carrier bearing are not able to be lubed so they will work fine unless you over stress the components.
