Swapped out original brake pads and rotors at 140k miles. Not too bad, still had about 15-20% left on the pads. If you don't drive this car like a goon all the time, it is a pretty dependable daily.

I finally got rid of the carmax tires. Got some PSS installed yesterday but they have this white powder all over them so I haven't bothered taking any pictures.

Car handles and takes off from a stop so much better now.

Was there a dramatic difference in road noise? My carmax specials are basically hockey pucks, so I'm hoping the road noise will drop a bit when I swap to decent tires. Sadly these things seem to be lasting forever...

I've had the medium size on my 2013 BRZ for 3 years now, it's holding up great, hasn't deformed at all and still doesn't touch the front of the bumper.

Given that I daily this year round (snow + ice) I'm very impressed.

That does remind me that I need to get some new front and rear license plate bolts, the salt hasn't been kind and they're getting ugly.

That was actually something I noticed like 10 seconds after I drove off with them for the first time. They were so much quieter, I was so used to the road noise from before that it felt weird at first.

Remove clutch helper spring. You're welcome.

+1

Also wearing thinner soled shoes helped me a lot in learning this clutch so that I could really feel feedback through the pedals. I just keep a pair of pumas in the trunk.

I agree with you, I wore a thick soled shoe and I will wear a thin soled shoe this weekend and report back. I will be using BRZ TS for daily use and mostly I get freeway (about 20 miles one way) and when should I start driving on fwy?

I have a video of how I set it up...I just need to upload it now :P

Anyway, I folded the back seats down flat, moved the driver's seat forward, filled the gap in with boxes (filled with supplies), and laid a workout mat over that spot. Stuff the gap with more pillows and voila! Slept flat on my back and perfectly straight. And I'm 6'0 tall.

The passenger side of the car was used for supplies and storage so it held up nicely for 2 nights.

I removed the black Plasti-Dip from the wheels and installed some Eibach spacers 20mm/25mm.

When people get an after market header why do they change out their over and front pipe too? From the YouTube videos I've seen, they always make the car sound far too loud and like a trumpet.

I want to go for a JDL catted UEL header but with stock front and over pipe, but keep my Borla cat back exhaust. I'm not after a super loud sound, I just want the rumble and the performance once I get the OFT as well.

From what I've read, the front and over pipe don't add much performance gains on NA cars anyway.

Am I missing something?

Nope you're good. I'm planning to do the same. I mean obviously it's good to have same diameter piping all the way through, but eehhh, it's a relatively small section.
