I don't think the three inch exhaust on the Evo would be to pleasing... LOL

Anyways,

I've gotten numerous texts from the soon to be ex today saying she misses me, wants to see me happy, Blah, Blah, Blah

So I call my friend that actually works woth both of them (he was the reason I originally found out BTW), and he tells me that they had numerous layoffs today and I guess "Sancho" received a pink slip. WTF??? I think before I would have been like okay? lets see if we can make this work, but now I'm like, I wished you had realized sooner... Thanks Guys

You need to start thinking about the next phase. The Divorce.

Visit the six best divorce attorneys in your town and hire the one that you like. Remember that any lawyer you talk to is "poisoned," and your wife won't be able to hire them. Hell, consult with every lawyer in town if you like. All consultations are free and your wife will have to go elsewhere to find an attorney.

Good point, I have already visited three, I was going to let her file so that I didn't need to drag her name through the dirt, because if I filed it would be for infidelity, she would probably file for irreconcileable differences. But after today, I'm not convinced she will file..... Crap the drama continues....

Just get it done. The quicker, the better.

I don't know about there, but in Australia men are treated as criminals by the Family Law Courts.

Accept that it is going to hurt and give her more than you think she deserves, just because it's worth it to get on with your life.

No children involved, fortunately I did make us get legally seperated last year after I found out, so a year latter, according to the lawyers I've talked to she shouldn't get anything more than what I've already given her... Fingers crossed.

I would be so depressed if I have to sell the Evo to pay her off, okay I'm not going to think negatively.

I'm not posting this to be mean, or to belabor the point, but as an example of what I mean when I say that women always look after themselves first.

Keep in mind that she financed all this underhanded plotting and scheming against her husband with her husband's money.

Furthermore, I could justify this kind of behavior in an "unhappy marriage" if women brought the same kind of initiative, energy and creativity to helping their husbands when they are in "happy marriages," but they never do. Instead, women forever cast themselves as the victims of men. They relish that identity and that narrative.

UPDATED: WEDNESDAY, JULY, 11, 2012

The way Katie Holmes carefully plotted her split from Tom Cruise could easily be a Hollywood thriller. The actress “surprised” her husband with a phone call asking for a divorce while he was thousands of miles away in Iceland, shooting his upcoming sci-fi flick "Oblivion," on June 29, then she managed to wrestle away custody of Suri, 6, from him just 11 days later. A report released on Tuesday details just how she went about her secret plan – she used a disposable cell phone.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a friend of Holmes provided her with the throwaway device so she could talk to her New York City-based lawyers without Cruise, 50, or his people knowing what she was up to. Now, yet another report, a People magazine story released on Wednesday, divulges further details on how Holmes caught her husband of five years off guard by meticulously plotting her divorce plans ahead of time, even reaching out to her parents for help. According to the report, Tom Cruise was about to start shooting an action-packed scene on the set in Iceland when he answered an unexpected call from Holmes. “He was about to do a stunt and got off his motorcycle to take the call,” a source tells People. It was during that conversation that Holmes broke the news. “He’s been in shock since that day,” the source adds.

Katie, Suri, and her mother Kathleen enjoyed a day at Chelsea Piers on Tuesday. (Jackson Lee/Splash News)

The Los Angeles Times also reports that when Holmes, 33, and Cruise settled their divorce on Monday, she already had three law firms in three different states set up in case she’d have to battle her soon-to-be ex outside of Manhattan, where she filed. The “Mission: Impossible” star initially wanted to hash out their divorce in California, which typically favors divorcing parents to have joint custody of their children (Holmes had requested sole custody of Suri in her filing). It turns out one of the toughest attorneys Holmes had on her side was reportedly her own father. “It’s his way or the highway,” a fellow attorney tells People of Martin Holmes, 67, a top divorce lawyer in Toledo, Ohio, who helped lay out Holmes' strategy for the split. “He’ll look a storm in the eye and make sure he’s standing when it’s over,” adds former mayor Carty Finkbeiner.

Holmes' dad arrived in New York to be with his daughter around June 26, two days before she made the call to Cruise. (Whether the actor knew the elder Holmes was in New York at the time remains to be seen). Katie's mom, Kathleen, has also since traveled to the Big Apple and was most recently spotted accompanying her daughter and granddaughter on an outing to the Manhattan athletic complex Chelsea Piers on Tuesday.
As part of the settlement, Holmes will have total control over Suri’s education. And, in a move that is a definite slap in the actor’s face, Holmes – who renounced her Catholic upbringing for Scientology when she married Cruise in 2006 – has registered as a parishioner at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City not far from her Chelsea apartment. That presumably means she'll be taking Suri along with her to Mass. “Everyone is thrilled to have Katie join us,” a member of the church's choir told The Huffington Post on Monday. “She has not yet attended a service, but when she does she will be welcomed with open arms.”

While many of us have stories about the evil doing of a woman, just remember they can be matched with stories from women being mistreated by men. Part of the sign you are ready to move on is when you get over the bitterness and realize both sexes can be evil and mean and both can be good and sweet. Women have their way of preparing for a split and men have theirs. The biggest eye opener for me was watching my teenager daughter from age 12-18 and how she thinks of and handles her dating life versus how I did and see other boys her age. Two completely different mindsets, I mean I knew it would be but I am still surprised often how different we really are.

I'm pretty sure that was Jack Nicholson in a movie.
I would expect a quote from Jack Nicklaus to be more like "If you transfer your weight better before impact you'll hit longer drives"

Hadn't seen this thread before and except for this nonsense tabloid post about Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise, it's been good stuff
OP I hope things are going better for you now and really there is no need to jump right back out there. Get your head sorted - however long that takes - and sooner or later you'll meet someone else.

from the movie As Good As It Gets

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: I think of a man. Then, I take away reason and accountability.
