Which is just BS. If they got carried away with the packing material it can end up in oil galleries and restrict oil flow.

Show them all the threads about 2013s and spun rod bearings here...plus I am sure there are documented cases on the nhtsa website as well:

worst comes to worst, get a used engine which will run you roughly $2.7k + labor. I know it sucks but it is what it is. hopefully Toyota will come through since your warranty is only a few days past due.

Yep, already got a used engine from a 2014 with 39k miles on it for $2,660.

Honestly, I just gave up. Pulling the engine tomorrow.
