They were willing to do it as warranty work so they didn't quote me on a price. I said, "I don't care if I have to pay I just want the flash done" and they said, "don't worry we will put this under the warranty". I got a 12 month 12,000 mile when I bought the car used. One of the best dealerships I have dealt with, although like I said I think this only fixes super bad idle fluctuation and only during idle. It still fluctuates when the AC is on but this is to be expected

So the real question is... did it fix the idle issue with the DRL flicker? No. Does the car drive any differently? Slightly yes, there is more a difference of sport mode and normal mode for the transmission. The sport mode lets the car take off harder while normal mode the car is a lot more sedate (similar to driving in snow mode). I think the car is re-learning at this point but it's been about 3 days and the car still feels a little off.

Just wanted to make an update after 1 week.
The DRL flicker has been fixed. The car no longer dips below 500. Even panic emergency stops do not make the DRL flicker. The car holds a solid 500 RPM now. Initially the car drove differently like it's slower, after one week, the car has relearned how I drive and the DRL does not flicker anymore. I have been trying to replicate the DRL flicker for the past week and I just can't anymore which is good

FYI, I brought this issue to light and posted that TSB to this forum. It's not normal and if you have a 2015 you definitely should get the newer TCM flash done regardless like brosif had done. Also the vin range should've been much much broader but they didn't for some stupid reason. If you are still under warranty it should only ever qualify as warranty work as its a TSB

Idk how your specific dealer will react to being handed a TSB. You should probably just say you have the idle fluctuation issue and describe it like the TSB. Also mention that you heard online that this was a well known issue and that theres a technical service bulletin out for it...

My only gripe is that the projectors are obviously not designed for an HID bulb and took a lot of trial and error to get the beam pattern aimed properly. Even when aimed right they were great! but not good as other cars I owned with HID or LED headlights. But if it's your first car with HIDs they are perfect. If I may make a reccomendation, buy them with 5000K HIDs as it matches the LEDs almost perfectly, get the DRL mod from 86speed, and they will look awesome. ![]()

Does the condensation affect the bulbs? What about your led strip? It didnt go off after a few months? Cause i read some that theyre led went off. 5000k hid with diode? Is 5500k from morimoto good also?

if you have questions you can just PM me on here ![]() Quote:
1) The condensation did not effect anything I've had these for 3 years with no hiccups, its so light and only appears when it rains and goes away when the headlights are on. Thats kind of normal as the HIDs heat up the housing to clear it out. 2) LED strip is still fine, they are OEM quality still no issues or flickers, that seemed to be hit or miss on earlier versions I guess 3) As for the HIDs or LEDs you choose to put in there you can go with morimoto, diode dynamics, or the morimoto H7 LEDS Those are the best quality HID kits I used. http://www.morimotohid.com/h7-morimo...=51328%2C51354 In the above link if you used LED bulbs you wouldn't have to worry about ballasts or anything.... As for color LEDs tend to be 5000-6000k so that range will work

I'm necroing this thread, but I just want to say a huge thank you to all the people who posted detailed explanations of the procedure for doing an ATF fluid change and provided shop manual excerpts. I'm about to attempt this as part of my installation of an ATF cooler, and the process seems straight forward if a bit time consuming, but was originally extremely intimidating.
