I can get the same MAF sensor you used if you have a part number.
That motor controller you made is that open source? Do you recommend any of the shelf controllers?

Actually what I got from my setup, which is pretty similar to yours, is that the power used on 0,5 Bar pressure was about 3000-3500W. So in your case of 24V power the top constant consumption theoretically woud be about 150-160A. Probably even a bit less, I admit a better efficiency of my motor controller on lower voltage.

APS who sell the motor said that its the competition versjon of the motor and it can handle 30v and reach 70 000rpm, so a 8s lipo pack or something that can get me to around 30v should be ideal.
160A is probably plenty, but I I think I will get a bigger esc just to have some good margins and better cooling.

Looks like they using Flier motor controllers.

What KV number for the motor you're considering to use?

Do you think having a sensored motor would be worth it? I guess it should be possible to read rpm of the shaft, but have never tried one before.

If the sensor equipped motor isn't much more then yes its would be well worth it as you could then see how fast you manage to achieve

That would worth it, but the you'll need a sensor capable motor controller. RPMs is also possible to read with sensorless motor controllers with a small extra converter.

The higher kv versions ive found only support lower voltage so you wont get more rpm anyway, unless you found something better most of them ive seen is max 50k rpm

I will put a ceramic ballbearing inside the backplate right under the compressor wheel, with a small washer.
This will make the shaft more stable and seal the shaft from the backplate/compressor. Compressor wheel needs to sit exactly 1mm above the edge of the hole, thats also why I want the washer so I can fine adjust the heigth just incase some tolerances is off after the shaft as been custom machined
